At Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning & Development District, we have an ethics policy that sets forth the principles and standards of conduct that all employees are expected to follow. We promote a culture of honesty, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that our actions align with our values and the expectations of our stakeholders.
According to the policy, the authority to employ staff rests with the Executive Director.
Employees must observe an economy of time, property, and resources.
As a State of Louisiana public entity, Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning & Development District requires compliance with the Board of Ethics and related reporting requirements.
Further, in compliance with State and Federal law and/or regulations, and in consistency with the Federal funding partners of the District, Kisatchie-Delta Regional Planning & Development District and its Board of Directors establishes that the operations of the District shall be conducted as nearly as is practicable without conflict of interest or nepotism.
No person shall be employed while he/she or a member of his/her immediate family serves on the Board of Directors or in a supervisory capacity on the staff of the District including by relation to any degree, by blood or by marriage and/or by other related person.
No person serving on the Board of Directors of the Executive Committee or the Personnel and Finance Committee may participate in the discussion or decision of action for any employee that is related by blood or by marriage and/or by relative of related party by blood or by marriage.
